Nationwide Protests Erupt as Jamaat-e-Islami Demands Relief from Soaring Fuel Prices and Inflation

A wave of protests swept across the country on Friday as Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) workers took to the streets to express their outrage over the government's inability to control rising fuel prices and inflation. Demonstrations, sit-ins, and rallies were held in major cities, including Karachi, Islamabad, and Peshawar, causing significant disruptions to traffic. In Karachi, the protests led to severe traffic congestion, with roads linking Tibet Centre with Numaish Chowrangi and the National Highway in Matiari being blocked. Similarly, in Islamabad, JI workers gathered near Golra Mor for a protest march, which was joined by senior party leader Liaquat Baloch. The protests also affected traffic in other cities, including Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, and Quetta, as party workers blocked highways and staged sit-ins. The JI is demanding that the government take immediate action to reduce fuel prices and inflation, which have been crippling the economy and affecting the common man.
