New Academic Schedule Unveiled: Sindh Government Schools to Adopt Revised Timings

In a bid to optimize the learning experience for students, the Sindh School Education Department has introduced a new schedule for government schools across the province. The revised timings, applicable to primary, elementary, secondary, and higher secondary institutions, are designed to cater to the unique needs of single-shift and double-shift schools during summer and winter periods. As per the notification, single-shift primary schools will operate from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm from Monday to Thursday, and from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm on Fridays, until October 31. For secondary and higher secondary schools, the first shift will commence at 7:30 am and conclude at 1:30 pm during the same period. The winter schedule, effective from November 1 to March 31, will see single-shift primary schools functioning from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, while the first shift for secondary and higher secondary schools will operate from 8:00 am to 1:45 pm. Double-shift schools will also follow a similar pattern, with the second shift running from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm until October 31, and from 12:45 pm to 5:45 pm thereafter.
