Pakistan Cricket Board Unveils Thrilling National Champions Cup 2026 Schedule

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the highly anticipated National Champions Cup 2026, a seven-match 50-over List A tournament that will kick-start the country's 2026-27 domestic cricket season. The tournament, scheduled to take place from August 11 to 18 at the Multan Cricket Stadium, will feature four teams: Pakistan Greens, Pakistan Whites, Pakistan Blues, and Pakistan Gold. Each team will compete in a single round-robin format, with the top two teams qualifying for the final on August 18. The PCB has named fixed playing XIs for each team, along with a 13-player reserve pool, to ensure a competitive and exciting tournament. The national selection committee has chosen prominent captains, including Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan, Saim Ayub, and Sahibzada Farhan, to lead their respective teams. The tournament is expected to play a crucial role in identifying and assessing talent ahead of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2027. The PCB has also announced the support staff for each team, including head coaches, bowling coaches, batting coaches, and fielding coaches. The tournament schedule has been released, with all matches to be played as day-night encounters, starting at 3 pm local time.
