Pakistan's Home Series Against Sri Lanka: A New Venue in Sight?

As the cricketing world awaits Pakistan's highly anticipated home series against Sri Lanka, rumors are circulating that Karachi might not be the chosen venue. Lahore and Rawalpindi have emerged as the top contenders to stage the matches, with discussions over the final allocation of venues for both the bilateral series and the tri-nation tournament still ongoing. The series against Sri Lanka is part of the 2025-27 ICC World Test Championship cycle and includes a two-match Test series and a three-match T20I series. Additionally, a tri-nation ODI tournament featuring Pakistan, England, and Sri Lanka is also on the cards, with the competition expected to be held across October and November.
