Royal Revamp: King Charles Breaks 143-Year Tradition with Innovative Flower Show

In a groundbreaking move, King Charles has partnered with The Royal Horticultural Society to introduce a new flower show at the Sandringham Estate, marking a significant departure from the traditional show that has been in place since 1881. The RHS Sandringham Flower Show, scheduled to take place from July 22 to 26, promises to be an exciting event, featuring competitions, floristry presentations, and educational talks. The royal couple, King Charles and Queen Camilla, will make a grand entrance by carriage on the opening day and tour the RHS Royal Legacy Garden, designed by Catherine MacDonald in collaboration with the King. This inaugural event is the first of a series, with the next show scheduled for 2029, as part of a three-year agreement between the Sandringham Estate and the RHS. The original traditional show will resume in 2027 and 2028, ensuring that the legacy of the historic event is preserved.
