Pakistan and Kuwait Strengthen Ties: A New Era of Cooperation

In a significant development, Pakistan and Kuwait have embarked on a journey to bolster their defence and economic partnership. The two nations have been engaged in discussions to institutionalize bilateral collaboration, with a focus on enhancing cooperation in various sectors, including trade, investment, energy, and defence. The talks, co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Kuwait's Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, highlighted the commitment of both countries to strengthen their longstanding brotherly relations. The Kuwaiti Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for Pakistan's support during the Covid-19 pandemic and appreciated the country's constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability. The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international developments, including the situation in the Middle East and Palestine. The visit of the Kuwaiti delegation to Pakistan is seen as a significant step towards expanding the mutually beneficial partnership between the two nations. Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated his country's commitment to playing an honest and sincere mediator and facilitator in regional peace efforts, while the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister reaffirmed his country's commitment to further enhancing bilateral cooperation.
