Pakistan Army Crushes Terrorist Strongholds: 32 Militants Killed in 24-Hour Operations

In a significant blow to terrorism, Pakistan's security forces have eliminated 32 terrorists in a 24-hour operation spanning Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed that the joint operations targeted Indian-backed militants, including those affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan. The military's media wing revealed that the operations were conducted in response to intelligence reports, with security forces engaging terrorist locations in KP's Khyber district and Balochistan's Nushki district. The 24-hour crackdown resulted in the deaths of 24 terrorists in KP and eight in Balochistan, with security forces also recovering and destroying weapons, ammunition, and improvised explosive devices. The operations are part of a broader effort to root out terrorism in the region, which has been plagued by violence in recent months. According to a report by the Centre for Research and Security Studies (CRSS), KP and Balochistan have been the epicentres of violence, accounting for nearly 96% of all violence-linked fatalities in the second quarter of 2026.
