Pakistan's Security Landscape: The Crucial Role of Good Governance

In a recent press conference, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry emphasized the significance of good governance in ensuring Pakistan's security. He stressed that the country's challenges cannot be resolved without effective governance, and it is essential for politicians to spread awareness among the people instead of creating confusion. The ISPR chief also ruled out any talks with terrorists, stating that the security forces would continue their efforts against terrorism and smuggling networks. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of the public's support in winning the war against terrorism, emphasizing that police and security forces cannot succeed without the people's backing. Lt Gen Chaudhry also addressed the issue of missing persons, stating that the commission on missing persons had received applications, and many of the militants killed during security operations were found to be among those previously reported as missing persons.
